Working the Curls

Sunday, April 19th, 2009

So I just have to give a shout out to Alberto the Ouidad expert in Scottsdale. I’ve had three haircuts there and am pretty sure I’ll never love another haircut as much. A few friends saw me on a hike this morning with seriously awful bed-head-gone-wrong and one of their kids STILL mistook me for his auntie who has beautiful natural curls. Before I had this haircut, I would not have described my hair as naturally curly at all.. It was more naturally impossible. Random kinks here and there, straight patches left and right, individual hairs spiraling out of control… and don’t even get me started on the frizz. Or the bulk. Or the craziness. But my cut makes me love my hair as-is.

Doing the wrong thing regardless of fear, on the other hand, is just stupid.

Far more suited than here!

I never thought I’d fall for a home so close to home, but I have. I am in love. If I can scrape together a down payment I will post pictures soon. Otherwise, the greyhound station in my head that’s always sending my thoughts to far off destinations (such as Rochester and Montpelier) will soon be making stops in Lehi as well.

Fruit, glorious fruit!

Fruit, glorious fruit!
