Winter vs Spring - snow on a lilac bud

I’d originally posted this in March 2009 on a haiku Wednesday, in honor of the weather. Time and time again, this little pair of haiku rings true. I’ve got one on Fall, too. One of these days I’ll have to add one for Summer. :) And without further ado:



Unassuming Spring
Peaks from the backstage curtains
Hiding from applause

Conceited Winter
Thinks the hurrahs are for her
and does an encore

March 5, 2010. I'd already switched back to sandals.
