Happy Summer!

Today, to celebrate the longest day of the year, I took the kids for their first ferris wheel ride. We just happened to have one of those traveling amusement parks in town, so we didn’t have far to go. Just had to pay a pretty penny is all ($12 for the four of us to ride the wheel together). Here are a few pics from the expedition – and a great observation Jared made about rigged carni-basketball!

*If you think that moon looks big, you’re right. But that is how the moon SEEMED. When I took the picture, of course the camera only saw a little spec. So I took that little spec, copied it out from the somewhat large-res original, and pasted it fresh on the tinier size. It’s not dishonest if you admit to tampering, right?

More random news for the day that I’ve got to talk about later (or shall we say Earlier in the day)

    I may never trust a picture of the moon or a carni-basketball game again . . .
