My very own proverb

Wednesday, November 21st, 2007

Alright, this is going to sound like a very cheesy and egotistical post. I appologize. But anyone who knows me knows I love quotes. In fact, coming up with a good one of my own has always been a goal of mine, because maybe it’ll mean I’ve made a difference. So here’s my attempt at scratching one item off life’s to-do list:

Bitter words are hard to eat

I say it from experience, unfortunately. But Is it original? Is it bad? It is a bit cheesy, I know, but I happen to like cheese so we’re good there. ;) (more…)

Ron Paul is Magneto??

Sunday, August 12th, 2007

I was watching the republican debates a few weeks ago thinking, gee, Ron Paul sure looks familiar. When I realized why, I could hardly stop snickering. A quick search on google revealed I wasn’t the only one to notice the uncanny resemblance, but I didn’t find any great photos to support the argument. If I were a mutant, I know my super power would probably have something to do with photoshop — and now is the time to use it.

Disclaimer: This is NOT an endorsement for or against Ron Paul — though I have run into a few spam-happy Ron Paul fans who just may be evil mutants. I just couldn’t help myself.

I will bring you hope, old friend. And I ask only one thing in return: don't get in my way.

Time theory

Saturday, August 11th, 2007

From a random discussion on time, I’d posted my thoughts:

Think of being in a car traveling at high speed down an unfamiliar road versus how you would perceive the same car from an airplane. In the car everything rushes by because you can only see so much at once. From a plane, that same car hardly appears to be moving at all because you can see its entire path at once . “Time” as we know it is simply a product of our limited perspective.

Seattle Pics

I had a blast in Seattle with Hands-On Web Hosting and the graphic design / visual communications people from HOW, graphicdesign.about.com, and Creative Latitude. Here a few of the pics I took on this trip. More to come when I get access to my sister’s CF card! (more…)

Fashionot-so-much

Thursday, March 15th, 2007

Working at home has me in a bit of a habit. I’ve considered myself lucky really. Every evening after work, I take a shower and put on a clean uniform: a T-shirt and pajama pants. Some have stripes, some have flowers, others have bright polka dots. All cost me a few dollars each at my favorite food and drug store. They are very comfortable and kinda cute. My random “textured” hairstyle forms as it dries in my sleep. And every morning, I wake up ready to roll.

Startrek was dead on in many ways, and not just when it comes to technology — they knew that in the future, everyone would work in their PJs. But something tells me the future isn’t here just yet. (more…)
